The 54th annual celebration of the Armed Forces Day
, the Joint Service Open House at Andrews Air Force
Base , Camp Springs, Mary land. The Show Took place
from May 15th till
May16th 2004 and had everything that a Good show needs,
A lot of Beautiful Airplanes, Military Equipment and
maybe the most important great weather.
This year The Armed Forces Day was a tribute to the
brave men and woman stationed across the Globe, standing
watch on the Frontiers of freedom and also a day to
honor the Veterans and remember the sacrifice of all
those gave their live for Freedom.
The day became very popular and now it is a three-day
event.
At Thursday the 14th of May there was a small event
for the Media to make some coverage of the Practice
Flights of the United States Navy Blue Angels Demonstration
team and the Demo Team Of the Canadian Armed Forces
the Snowbirds. Also there was a good Opportunity to
Interview the Pilots and make some good Pictures of
the Airplanes standing on the Flight lines and on the
Static Displays.
Besides the great variety for the Air Display there
was a lot to see on the ground. On the Static Display
you could watch hardware from All the United States
Armed Forces and all like the United States Air Force,
United States Navy , United States Marines, United States
Coast Guard, United States Army Showing their equipment.
Also a lot of War birds and the Maryland State Police
were present .
On the Static display you could a lot of Aircraft and
Helicopters from Vintage Larry D. Kelley his B25J “Panchito”
to The United States Air Force newest fighter the F/A-22A
from the 422nd TES from Nellis AFB and from the AH-1
Cobra to the H-53 Stallion. Almost every Aircraft from
the United States Armed Forces was present like the
F-16 “Fighting Falcon “ the F15 Eagle, The
EA-6 Prowler , The F-18 Hornet and also The B1B Lancer
and B52H Bomber.
At Friday After the Opening ceremonies the Departure
of the President of the United States GeorgeW. Bush
and a Fly-by of the F-16’s From the 121 Fighter
Squadron of the DC Air national Guard It was time for
The Golden Knights the Parachute team of the United
States Army to do their Streamer Drop to see how the
wind is and to check the best exit area for the Jumpers.
After some more flying Demo’s the First Jumper
Safely landed with the Stars and Stripes under the sound
of the United States National Anthem and the rest landed
shortly afterwards.
The show lasted till 4:30 and it was a really good
organized show without many Gaps,
As for everyone who was there wasn’t any minute
to be bored as there was lots to do for the young and
the Old.

our stay at Andrews a very pleasant one.
